Job summary

Vasto Legal Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Non-Contentious Construction Solicitor for its client in the West End, London. The role is hybrid and permanent, ideal for a lawyer with 2–4 PQE in private practice real estate or construction.

You will draft and negotiate building contracts and collateral warranties, advise on development agreements and leases, and work closely with the construction disputes team to provide integrated advice for high-profile projects.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years' PQE, ideally at a top-tier UK private practice in real estate or construction.
• Non-contentious construction experience from a real estate perspective
• Confident drafting and negotiating appointments, collateral warranties and main JCT forms
• Experience working with real estate colleagues on purchases, disposals and lettings is a plus

Non-Contentious Construction Solicitor | 2 to 4 PQE | West End, London | Hybrid

This Legal 500 West End law firm to recruit a Non-Contentious Construction Solicitor into its successful and growing construction team. This is a permanent, full-time role and a strong opportunity for a 2 to 4 PQE lawyer from a top-tier real estate or construction practice.

The Role

This role is purely non-contentious. You will:

• Draft and negotiate building contracts, consultant appointments, collateral warranties, bonds, guarantees and escrow agreements
• Advise on the construction aspects of development agreements, funding arrangements, agreements for lease and property transactions, working alongside commercial real estate colleagues
• Work closely with the construction disputes team to provide joined-up advice when issues arise on projects
• Collaborate across practice groups on high-quality matters for high-quality clients

About you

• 2 to 4 years' PQE, ideally gained at a top-tier UK private practice real estate or construction firm
• Non-contentious construction experience from a real estate perspective, rather than energy, projects or infrastructure
• Confident drafting and negotiating appointments, collateral warranties and the main JCT forms
• Experience advising alongside real estate colleagues on purchases, disposals and lettings would be ideal
• Exposure to letters of intent or pre-construction agreements is welcome but not essential
• Organised, proactive and calm under pressure, with excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
