Job summary

Galliford Try is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Kent to lead a portfolio of construction projects up to £20m, supporting up to four site-based project managers and working with a wide range of internal and external partners.

You will develop inclusive, high-performing teams, ensure safety and CDM 2015 compliance, manage costs, programme and quality, and report progress to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• CSCS card (or willingness to obtain).
• HNC, Degree, or equivalent experience in a construction-related discipline.
• Experience managing complex construction projects or portfolios.
• Strong understanding of CDM 2015 and health and safety responsibilities.
• Working knowledge of NEC and/or IChemE contracts and commercial principles.
• Confidence using Office 365 tools to support collaboration and reporting.
• Experience developing inclusive, high-performing teams.
• Inclusive and collaborative leadership style.
• Clear, respectful, and adaptable communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make balanced, informed decisions.
• Commitment to working safely, ethically, and responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of projects, providing direction, support, and accountability.
• Build diverse, high-performing teams that feel safe and respected.
• Ensure CDM 2015 compliance and health and safety responsibilities.
• Collaborate with designers to ensure safe, buildable, inclusive designs.
• Manage costs, programme, quality, and project scope with stakeholders.
• Recruit and onboard project team members per resource plans.
• Maintain timely and accurate internal and external reporting.
