Job summary

Belcan in Manchester seeks a Senior Construction Manager to lead the safe, on-time delivery of major projects in a highly regulated environment. You will oversee site activities, manage contractors and ensure compliance with CDM and health and safety standards, driving projects through to completion while coordinating with stakeholders.

This 12-month contract role is based in Manchester with a focus on governance, quality and environmental requirements.

Qualifications

• Significant construction management experience on large-scale projects.
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations and health and safety management.
• Degree-qualified in Engineering (or equivalent) with IOSH certification.
• Experience working within highly regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards.
• Manage contractors, subcontractors, and site teams while maintaining compliance with project requirements.
• Oversee construction planning, reporting, and progress monitoring.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to resolve issues and support successful project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, safety procedures, and environmental requirements.
