Job summary

Robert Bird Group in Birmingham is seeking an Associate to join the expanding Construction Engineering Team. The role offers senior leadership within a growing consultancy, with responsibility for project delivery, client engagement, and team development.

You will work with Directors, clients, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams, oversee programs, manage fee proposals, and ensure high technical standards while promoting safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering suitable for leadership roles.
• Chartered membership with IStructE/ICE or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant engineering experience with leadership.
• Experience in design and development and client management.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams and deliver outcomes.
• Manage client liaison and fee proposals.
• Review designs and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Implement the company quality system on projects.
• Ensure health and safety compliance on sites.
