Job summary

Thwaites is seeking an experienced Conference and Events Manager to deliver exceptional hospitality for all conference and events guests and to ensure the efficient operation of the Conference and Events departments through staff training and development.

Your day-to-day includes managing hotel conference rooms with the nights team, ensuring smooth weddings and events, presenting function rooms, and coordinating rotas with Breakfast and Restaurant & Bars Managers while upholding health & safety

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar Conference and Events role; senior supervision or management background.
• 4* hotel experience is advantageous.
• Ability to support wider Food & Drinks departments when required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee conference room management with nights team to meet brand standards.
• Ensure exceptional hospitality for weddings and events per guest needs.
• Present and set up all function and conference rooms at all times.
• Collaborate with Breakfast Manager and Restaurant & Bars Manager to create efficient rosta.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
• Coordinate with Sales to understand event requirements and attend 48-hour wedding handovers.
