We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Compliance Manager to join our dedicated and supportive team. This is a great job for an experienced individual with strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex matters simply!
A bit about the job:
The key purpose of this role is to provide advice to local leaders (within all three lines of defence) on existing and upcoming regulatory and conduct risk regulation and on the practical implications of this regulation. This advice will provide leaders with the understanding and insight they need to make the best decisions for our customers and Aviva. The role holder will work collaboratively through a risk business partner model but being directive where regulatory requirements are explicit.
Additionally, you will:
- Lead risk and conduct challenge and input into significant product and distribution developments (both new and existing) clearly influencing the direction of travel and helping Aviva to demonstrate how we are delivering good outcomes for our customers.
- Oversight material Conduct Risk events and remediation activity where appropriate.
- Pro-actively use conduct risk data to identify risks for UK General Insurance providing recommendations and advice on mitigation strategies.
- Prepare reports to the local Committees and management as well as Group and other MBU's, as necessary. Lead effective relationships with the local Executive and Senior Management
Skills and experience we're looking for:
- Previous experience working as a compliance manager working within General Insurance, Life Insurance or Banking
- Expert knowledge of the UK regulatory expectations that apply to the local business area
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with 1st line of defence and senior management teams and be seen as a credible and trusted adviser
- FCA experience working with conduct regulation. Strong judgement with the ability to identity and focus on key issues and guide and advise others
- Demonstrates great personal and professional integrity - highly credible and respected by key business partners.

- National salary £60,000 - £65,000, London salary £70,000 - £75,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
