Job summary

Saab UK is expanding its Saab Seaeye unit in Fareham and seeks an experienced Compliance Engineer to manage product compliance with CE, UL, FCC and maritime standards. You will work with design, production and external labs to ensure tests, declarations and audits are completed on time.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in electrical/electronic engineering and the ability to coordinate complex verification activities across internal and external teams.

Qualifications

• Essential: Bachelor's degree, graduate certificate or Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
• Working knowledge of EN 61010 and EN 60204 LVD safety standards.
• Working knowledge of EMC standards and directives for CE / FCC.
• Understanding of mechanical principles related to components/assemblies.
• Ability to coordinate with internal teams and external labs for test activities.

Responsibilities

• Control and maintain compliance of products to EU CE, UL, FCC and industry standards.
• Create and maintain technical files and declarations for regulatory compliance.
• Plan and coordinate test accreditation activities with labs and notified bodies.
• Analyze test results and update verification and test plans for design teams.
• Present product compliance status to stakeholders and auditors.
• Contribute to design reviews ensuring new products meet accreditation needs.
