Job summary

Saab UK, Fareham, is seeking a Senior Compliance Engineer for its Seaeye underwater robotics unit. You will lead product compliance to CE, UL, FCC and industry standards, and create technical files and test plans to support accreditation.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external laboratories to plan testing and interpret results, guiding design engineers toward compliant solutions and reporting status to auditors.

Qualifications

• Essential: Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
• Working knowledge EN 61010 and EN 60204 LVD safety standards.
• Working knowledge of EMC standards and directives for CE / FCC.
• Working knowledge of environmental testing per CE LVD safety standards.
• Understanding of mechanical principles in manufactured components.
• Working knowledge of electronic systems and PCB/wiring.
• Self-starting and able to prioritise workloads.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Confident with third-party service providers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Control and maintain product compliance to CE, UL, FCC and industry standards.
• Create and maintain technical files and declarations.
• Monitor new regulations and update standards impact on products.
• Liaise with internal teams and external labs to plan test activities.
• Analyse test results and guide design teams to compliant solutions.
• Report compliance status to stakeholders and auditors.
• Contribute to design reviews ensuring new products meet accreditation.
• Participate in engineering change processes for ongoing compliance.
• Travel nationally and occasionally internationally.
• Continually improve department processes and knowledge sharing.
