Job summary

Saab UK, part of Scandinavia's defence group, is seeking an experienced Senior Compliance Engineer to join the Saab Seaeye division in Fareham. You will ensure product compliance with CE, UL, FCC and other standards, coordinating with internal teams and external labs to maintain technical files and test plans.

The role demands EN 61010/60204 knowledge, EMC expertise, and a proactive, collaborative approach to securing regulatory approvals across national and international contexts.

Qualifications

• Essential: Bachelor’s degree, graduate certificate or Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
• Working knowledge EN 61010 and EN 60204 LVD safety standards.
• Working knowledge of EMC standards and directives for CE / FCC.
• Understanding of environmental testing under CE LVD safety standards.
• Knowledge of mechanical principles of manufactured components / assemblies.
• Knowledge of electronic systems / assemblies in relation to components, PCBs, wiring.

Responsibilities

• Control and maintain compliance of products to CE, UL and FCC directives and other industry standards.
• Create and maintain technical files and declarations.
• Monitor and report on new regulations and standards and their impact.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external labs to plan accreditation activities.
• Analyse test results and update verifications and test plans for compliant products.
• Report on product compliance status to stakeholders and auditors.
• Create technical compliance assessments for end user requirements.
• Contribute to design reviews to ensure standards accreditation readiness.
• Participate in engineering change processes to maintain compliance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of department processes.
• Travel nationally and occasionally internationally.
