Job summary

AJ FOX COMPLIANCE is recruiting a Senior Compliance Analyst to own complex risk matters, including end-to-end client onboarding, AML evaluations, and conflicts checks across the firm’s global network.

The role requires at least 5 years in risk and onboarding, with deep analytics in sanctions screening and source of wealth/funds verification. You will advise stakeholders, mentor juniors, and drive improvements in onboarding workflows and risk management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of dedicated risk and client onboarding experience.
• Deep technical expertise in analysing high-risk onboarding matters including sanctions screening and source of wealth/funds verification.
• Experience handling conflicts of interest across international jurisdictions.
• Ability to advise stakeholders and mentor junior colleagues.
• Experience with onboarding technologies and risk registers.

Responsibilities

• Managing complex client onboarding workflows, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and firm policies across international jurisdictions.
• Conducting thorough anti-money laundering checks, evaluating customer due diligence, and assessing high-risk ownership structures.
• Performing detailed sanctions screening, adverse media assessments, and source of wealth or funds verification on high-risk files.
• Executing conflict checks and proposing clear resolutions to internal partners.
• Advising fee earners and internal stakeholders on regulatory compliance obligations, risk policies, and matter inception procedures.
• Assisting with the creation and maintenance of information barriers and confidential risk management protocols.
• Mentoring junior team members and serving as a point of escalation for complex risk inquiries.
• Supporting continuous operational improvements across onboarding technologies, risk registers, and compliance systems.
