Job summary

AJ FOX COMPLIANCE is seeking a Compliance Analyst to support onboarding and regulatory alignment for a major international law firm. You will conduct risk assessments, AML/CDD, and engage with internal stakeholders for timely and compliant client inception.

The role focuses on end-to-end onboarding workflows, identity verification, and ongoing monitoring across regional offices, requiring strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in client onboarding, risk or compliance within a law firm environment.
• Solid foundation in anti-money laundering regulations and customer due diligence (CDD).
• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day client onboarding workflows in compliance with AML legislation and firm risk policies.
• Conduct customer due diligence, identity verification, and evaluate ownership structures for new/existing clients.
• Perform initial risk assessments, sanctions screening, PEP checks and adverse media monitoring.
• Liaise with fee earners and internal teams to gather verification docs and resolve onboarding queries.
• Maintain accurate client and matter records in risk management and case management software.
• Assist with ongoing client monitoring, file updates and routine compliance reporting across regional offices.
• Identify opportunities to streamline onboarding processes and enhance operational efficiency.
