Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join a community-based Integrated Care Team in Sheffield. You will conduct generic assessments, plan home-based treatments, and supervise therapy assistants to deliver care for older adults and others with neurological, orthopaedic, frailty or anxiety needs.

A driving licence or transport is required. Hours are from 8:30 to 18:00, seven days a week including bank holidays, with opportunities to contribute to audits and

Qualifications

• Holds MSc, BSc or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
• Has training in graduate student supervision.
• Demonstrates evidence of continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Carry out generic occupational therapy assessments.
• Plan and deliver home-based treatment programmes.
• Supervise and develop therapy assistants and training.
• Transport, provide, order and fit equipment.
• Make onward referrals to other health and social care services.
• Support student placements and student understanding of community care.
• Assist audits and research as needed.
