Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain, through an opportunity with HCRG Care Group, seeks a Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist to work within a paediatric multidisciplinary team. You will assess children, create evidence-based therapy plans and support families and carers while supervising therapy staff and students.

Responsibilities include managing daily service delivery, deputising for the Band 7 lead, and maintaining high standards of safeguarding, reporting, and collaboration with health,

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in occupational therapy.
• CPD and training in child development, ASD, ADHD or neurodevelopmental conditions.
• HCPC registration.
• Minimum two years post-graduate OT experience, including paediatric practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess children with performance difficulties and provide advice and interventions.
• Devise child-centred, evidence-based therapy plans and formulate treatment plans.
• Plan and organise daily delivery of therapy services by therapists and assistants.
• Provide day-to-day line management of the therapy team.
• Supervise students and Band 3 to 5 staff, completing appraisals.
• Deputise for the Band 7 lead when required.
• Independently manage and prioritise own caseload.
• Write reports and evaluate outcomes.
• Liaise with health, education and social care professionals and attend case conferences.
