Job summary

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a community Integrated Care Team in Sheffield. The post involves delivering patient-centred care to older adults in their own homes, coordinating with a multi-disciplinary team and supporting early discharge from hospital.

Based in Lightwood House, you will assess and plan treatment programmes, supervise therapy assistants, arrange equipment, and contribute to student placements.

Qualifications

• Significant postgraduate OT practice in a range of clinical settings.
• Experience supervising/managing/developing junior staff, assistants through PDR and teaching.
• Experience of audit.

Responsibilities

• Carry out generic Occupational Therapy assessments.
• Plan and deliver treatment programmes in patients' homes including residential care.
• Work with therapy assistants and support their training and development.
• Arrange, transport and fit equipment and refer to other services.
• Support student placements and contribute to audits/research.
