Job summary

Locala Health and Wellbeing is seeking a Band 6 Senior Community Nurse in Kirklees to provide leadership across a 37.5‑hour week. The role involves leading community care, mentoring Band 5 staff and ensuring high standards of clinical practice within our North Kirklees network.

The post offers a band 6 salary (£39,959 - £48,117) with a full‑time, permanent contract. Shifts include weekends and late evenings in a supportive, patient‑focused environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with substantial community nursing experience.
• Strong leadership capabilities and team mentorship.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate care for patients with complex needs, ensuring high standards of clinical practice.
• Provide guidance, supervision and mentorship to Band 5 nurses and wider team members.
• Delegate tasks effectively to ensure efficient use of resources and timely delivery of care.
• Support service development initiatives and contribute to quality improvement projects.
• Act as a point of escalation for clinical decision‑making and safeguarding concerns.
• Provide operational and clinical leadership in the absence of the Team Leader, supporting staffing and service delivery.
