Job summary

Dudley Council in the Dudley borough is recruiting 4 x Senior Support Workers (Permanent) to join Assessment and Independence on Urgent Care Services and the Short Term Assessment and Reablement team. The role requires 37 hours per week on a flexible rota, including weekends, evenings and bank holidays, with enhanced pay.

You will support people to live at home, supervise staff, and ensure safe discharge and person-centred outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Taking delegated responsibility to enable people to be supported at home with their daily living activities.
• Supporting a community care service providing person centred support and opportunities for people and their carers.
• Looking after a team of designated staff in order to meet the requirements of service initiatives and developments, including all legislative standards, e.g. CQC, Care Act.
• Assisting in managing the demand for care capacity and ensuring safe discharge and care provision.
• Working at maximising a person’s independence to deliver their person‑centred outcomes.
