Job summary

Lawes Consulting Group is seeking an experienced regional insurance professional to drive gross written premium, income and profit targets across the region. You will deliver against the regional strategy by managing broker accounts, renewals and mid-term adjustments within binder limits, and by building strong relationships with key directors and staff at major brokers.

You will bring a solid three-year track record in commercial underwriting or broking, with Cert CII and preferably Dip CII,

Qualifications

• Minimum Cert CII, with Dip CII (or progress towards it) preferred.
• Three years' experience in commercial underwriting or broking.
• Proven ability to develop and manage broker accounts.
• Strong risk perception and risk selection skills.
• Effective selling skills and negotiation approaches.

Responsibilities

• Deliver profitability, growth and expense targets by managing region KPIs.
• Handle renewals and mid-term adjustments within authority and binder limits.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key brokers.
• Contribute to income and GWP targets and loss ratio goals.
• Ensure survey requests and policy documentation are processed correctly.
• Carry out regular case reviews to verify QA procedures.
• Feedback technical and market intelligence to regional director and team.
• Collaborate with claims and survey teams as required.
