This organisation aims to modernise and enhance capability and efficiency within the UK Manufacturing Sector.

We seek credible Senior Commercial Professionals with strategic procurement knowledge across Private, Public, and Government Contract regulations, experienced in working with FTSE 250 businesses and SMEs in manufacturing, including collaboration with the Cabinet Office and the Ministry of Defence.

SC Clearance is required, and existing clearance would be advantageous.

Key Requirements:

Working under a Commercial Strategy lead, three vacancies are available within different operational teams:

Testing Programme

• Deliver commercial strategy for a £bn R&D programme with first-of-a-kind products

Manufacturing Capability Programme

• Develop Make/Buy assessments and commercial strategies for new capabilities

Construction Programme

• Create alliances or enterprise partnerships to deliver a £3-£4bn programme over 15 years

The Commercial Managers will report to the Commercial Strategy Lead and develop solutions aligned with the needs of the Head of Strategic Sourcing, demonstrating:

• Commercial Acumen: Experience translating business needs into strategies and understanding core risks
• Experience: Managing complex commercial strategies over £500m in construction, infrastructure, defence, or rail projects
• Leadership & Influence: Ability to produce strategy documents, present to C-suite, and influence decisions
• Data-driven: Ability to analyze business and commercial data to create insights
