Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking an experienced Commercial Risk Manager to join the Scotland Energy Delivery Unit in Aberdeen/Peterhead. You will implement the project risk management strategy, lead risk identification and analysis, and support commercial decision-making across the offshore programme.

You will collaborate with Project Teams, Risk Owners and the Customer to embed robust risk management, run risk workshops and deliver training, ensuring alignment with NEC-based contracts and wider

Qualifications

• Experience in a project-based risk management role within large-scale infrastructure.
• Experience undertaking quantitative risk analysis (QCRA/QSRA) and modelling.
• Experience using recognised risk systems such as ARM.
• Strong understanding of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) processes and controls.
• Experience working across multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts advantageous.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience facilitating risk workshops and delivering training.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the risk management strategy across the offshore programme.
• Lead identification, assessment, response and monitoring of project risks.
• Facilitate risk workshops across multiple project packages.
• Perform QCRA and QSRA analyses and risk modelling.
• Support pricing, forecasting and contracting risk-sharing with commercial teams.
• Provide guidance to Risk Owners on risk assessment and mitigation.
• Develop and deliver risk management plans for work packages.
• Produce risk reports for management and the Customer.
• Collaborate with Customer risk management and subcontractors to align reporting.
