Job summary

Balfour Beatty is recruiting an Offshore Agent to lead marine and offshore works on a major UK infrastructure project. Based in Avonmouth, Bristol, you’ll own offshore packages, oversee engineering teams and subcontractors, and drive safe, timely delivery.

This senior site-based role requires hands-on offshore construction experience, commercial acumen and the confidence to lead delivery in a regulated environment while promoting Zero Harm values.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience delivering marine and offshore construction works.
• Proven experience in management of subcontractors and supply chain partners.
• Previous experience in commercial and financial control, including cost, value and budget management.
• Holds a current UK driving licence.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to manage client and stakeholder expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead offshore and marine construction packages from planning through to completion.
• Manage Section Engineers, Site Engineers, offshore client representatives and subcontractors.
• Represent the company in client, subcontractor and stakeholder meetings and drive safety and quality.
• Provide technical leadership for offshore installation and construction activities and resolve issues.
• Own the full handover process including documentation and certifications; mentor junior staff.
• Plan and manage fully resourced programmes, monitor KPIs and control budgets and procurement.
