Galliford Try is recruiting a Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function on local authority infrastructure projects, including flagship schemes. You will drive financial performance, contract management and robust commercial processes in collaboration with project delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Experience on local authority, highways or public-sector infrastructure schemes preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and change management.
• Experience managing budgets, commercial reporting and subcontract packages.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive in managing commercial risk and driving project performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial function on infrastructure projects, ensuring cost control and financial performance.
• Manage budgets, forecasting, CVRs and commercial reporting.
• Oversee procurement and commercial management of subcontract packages.
• Administer NEC contracts and manage compensation events, variations and change control.
• Monitor commercial risks and opportunities with appropriate action.
• Manage subcontractor payments, valuations, final accounts and contractual obligations.
• Work closely with operational teams, clients and supply chain partners.
• Support delivery of project objectives through robust commercial governance and reporting.
