Job summary

Galliford Try is recruiting a Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function on major infrastructure projects, including local authority schemes. The role is based in Bedfordshire and focuses on cost control, contract management and financial performance within a client-facing environment.

You will work with delivery teams and supply chain partners to maximise value, manage CVRs, compensation events and change control under NEC contracts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Experience on local authority, highways or other public-sector infrastructure schemes is advantageous.
• Strong NEC contracts knowledge and change management.
• Experience budgeting, commercial reporting and subcontract packages.

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for a Commercial Manager to join Galliford Try, working on local authority infrastructure schemes, including one of the country's flagship infrastructure projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial professional to play a key role in the delivery of major infrastructure works, taking responsibility for commercial performance, contract management and financial control.

Working alongside project delivery teams and key stakeholders, you will help ensure projects are delivered commercially successfully while managing risk, maximising value and maintaining robust contractual processes.

The position would suit a Commercial Manager with a strong civil engineering background who is comfortable operating in a client-facing environment and managing the commercial requirements of complex infrastructure schemes.
