Base pay range

Reporting to the CEO, we are looking for an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to join the Beauty Bay team. This is a high-impact, unique opportunity to shape the future success of our Beauty brands; By BEAUTY BAY and our new brand we are creating in house.

Responsibilities include short and long-term commercial strategy, driving daily trading performance and developing and delivering compelling new propositions so both brands remain current, appealing and competitive in the ever-changing Beauty retail world.

As Commercial Propositions Manager, as well as being responsible for the commercial performance of both brands you will be responsible for developing innovative and value-add propositions that meet the needs of our target customer and help BEAUTY BAY differentiate itself in the competitive beauty space. You will also work closely with cross-functional colleagues, including marketing, customer insight, merchandising & trade to ensure the strategies that get deployed enhance the Beauty Bay customer experience.

This role demands a confident, commercially driven decision-maker, who loves setting and achieving ambitious results in terms of revenue, customer experience and loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • You will develop and execute short and long-term strategies to significantly grow both brands, driving sales and profitability with innovative go-to-market plans & ideas
  • Act as the commercial link between the NPD and marketing
  • Develop in depth customer knowledge so you understand market trends, customer preferences, and identify propositions which drive brand loyalty
  • Develop clear, actionable launch plans and work with internal stakeholders to ensure their success in terms of customer experience and sales
  • Analyse the performance of all propositions post-launch, adjusting as needed to drive KPIs such as customer acquisition, retention, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with marketing to ensure campaign performance is maximized for promotions and new product launches
  • Work closely with Merchandising to ensure stock is managed effectively, working to reduce overstocks and slow-moving inventory

About you

  • A passion for Beauty and previous experience working in the beauty or personal care industry
  • Previous experience in proposition development, product management, or a similar commercial role within retail
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills. Able to engage and build relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Solid project management skills and track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Solid commercial acumen and analytical skills to research and uncover insights and turn these into innovative go-to-market ideas.
  • Able to think strategically as well as execute tactically in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record of delivering outstanding business results
  • Motivated, adaptable and resilient, someone who thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment and love the cut and thrust of retail
