At Babcock, we’re working to create a safe and secure world. Join us as a Senior Commercial Manager at our Bristol or Corsham sites, supporting our mission.

The Role

As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will support our drive to transform Mission Systems by delivering innovative commercial solutions. You will work within our Space Business Unit, managing contracts, negotiations, pricing, and risk assessments, while supporting growth activities to meet customer missions.

  1. Providing governance support to business and commercial teams.
  2. Identifying and implementing pragmatic commercial solutions.
  3. Supporting and coordinating the execution of commercial strategies.

This is a full-time role (37 hours/week) with regular travel across various sites and home working arrangements.

Essential Experience
  • Experience in contract management across all lifecycle aspects, preferably in defence or industry.
  • Commercially driven with a good understanding of customer and competitor landscapes.
  • Experience in proposal development for organic growth or new opportunities.
  • Strong relationship management skills at senior levels.
  • Project management experience, managing multiple projects and operational duties.
Qualifications
  • Professional qualifications (MCIPS, WCC, PGCCM) or equivalent are desirable but not essential.
Security Clearance

The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance. Details are available at UK government security vetting guidelines.
