Job summary

ERSG Ltd. in the Midlands is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to lead commercial governance on a nationwide portfolio of renewable connections projects. You will own commercial strategy across BESS, data centres, wind farms and grid connection infra, with project values from £5m to £50m.

The role requires senior leadership, extensive experience with lump-sum/fixed-price contracts, and the ability to manage multiple large-scale projects across the UK.

Qualifications

• Senior commercial leadership experience at a portfolio level.
• Proven track record managing large-scale renewable connection projects.
• Strong experience with lump-sum/fixed-price contracts and risk management.
• Familiarity with FIDIC, JCT/NEC would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong commercial leadership across projects including BESS, data centres, wind farms, and grid connection infrastructure.
• Oversee commercial governance, contract administration and commercial risk across a £5m-£50m project portfolio.
• Develop and implement commercial strategy to maximise value and minimise risk across nationwide projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple sites and regions to ensure programme delivery.

I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to take a leading commercial role across a portfolio of major renewable connection projects nationwide.

This is a senior leadership position suited to someone who has spent a significant period operating at a senior commercial level and is comfortable managing complex, high-value projects from a commercial and contractual perspective.

The Role

You'll be responsible for providing strong commercial leadership across projects including:

• BESS / Battery Storage
• Data Centres
• Wind Farms
• Renewable energy and grid connection infrastructure

Projects typically ranging from £5m-£50m

What I'm Looking For

• Strong, established Senior Commercial Management / Commercial Leadership experience
• Proven experience managing large-scale renewable connection projects
• Background across BESS, data centres, wind farms or associated energy infrastructure
• FIDIC experience is essential
• JCT and NEC experience would be advantageous
• Strong experience managing lump-sum / fixed-price contracts
• Commercial responsibility across projects valued between £5m-£50m
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and commercial governance experience
• Ability to operate nationally across a portfolio of projects
