️ Senior Commercial Gas Engineer

Location: Manchester & surrounding areas
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum (DOE)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Commercial Gas Engineer for our client in Manchester. This is a hands-on and mobile role, providing planned and reactive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair across a variety of commercial properties.

You will be a key player in delivering high-quality service, leading more junior engineers on complex jobs, and supporting contract delivery and compliance across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance of commercial gas appliances and heating systems.

* Diagnose faults and repair commercial boilers, heaters, and pipework.

* Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers.

* Complete safety checks, gas inspections, and compliance documentation.

* Liaise with clients on-site and ensure a high standard of service delivery.

* Maintain health and safety and adhere to company procedures and regulations.

Requirements:

* Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial gas engineering.

* Full UK driving licence.

* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

* Good understanding of H&S regulations and safe systems of work.

* Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Desirable:

* SSSTS or IOSH (or willingness to work towards).

* Previous experience in a senior/lead engineer or supervisory capacity.

* Valid ACS Commercial Gas qualifications (e.g., CODNCO1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1).
