THE COMPANY:

This well-known name in the retail space is expanding its analytics function and looking for a hands-on Senior Commercial Analyst to join the team. You'll be partnering with senior stakeholders to shape the trading strategy using rich performance data and best-in-class reporting tools.

THE ROLE:

As a Senior Commercial Analyst, you'll own performance analysis and deliver rapid, high-impact insights that influence business decisions. Sitting within the wider commercial team, you’ll be key in developing their reporting suite and visualising complex trends in a clear, strategic way.

Your day-to-day will involve:

• Leading the trading analysis workstream, identifying trends and uncovering commercial opportunities.
• Developing and enhancing a suite of reports and dashboards to monitor KPIs and trading performance.
• Delivering quick, actionable insights to senior stakeholders to support key decisions.
• Collaborating with the trading team and senior leaders to frame questions and align insights to business needs.
• Using data visualisation tools (Looker, Tableau, Sheets) to bring data to life through compelling storytelling.
• Continuously improving analytics processes, tools, and methodologies to keep performance insights sharp.

YOUR EXPERIENCE:

• Strong background in a commercial analytics role within a retail or e-commerce environment.
• Advanced SQL skills – comfortable writing complex queries and working autonomously with large datasets.
• Proven experience developing reporting tools that influence trading decisions and performance strategies.
• Confident with data visualisation platforms such as Tableau or Looker.
• Strong stakeholder management – comfortable working cross-functionally and influencing senior leaders.
• Highly results-driven with excellent commercial acumen and the ability to translate data into strategic actions.
