Job description

Our client is a successful Insurance Broking firm based in Isleworth, Middlesex, established for over 40 years.

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Commercial Account Handler to join their team. The role involves working closely with management to broker new and existing business, including renewals, and supporting management and compliance activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the insurance industry, specifically in transacting Commercial insurance contracts for new business and renewals. They should possess a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the desire to join a small but growing firm, managing workflow and junior team members. Skills in negotiating and troubleshooting with insurers are essential. Progress towards or attainment of CII qualifications is required.

Technical Requirements

1. Broking experience, including familiarity with Construction, Commercial SME Packages, Motor Fleet, PI, Cyber Liability, Property Owners, and Liability contracts.
2. Sound knowledge of insurance principles and practices.
3. Understanding of current compliance regimes for general insurance.
4. Proficiency with computer and keyboard skills, including navigation of standard office PC systems.
5. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
6. Experience with Open GI (MISYS) is beneficial.
