Job summary

Senior plc, a leading precision engineering group, is seeking a CNC Cylindrical Grinder for its Lymington Precision Engineers operation in the UK. 39 hours per week on dayshift, with training and development opportunities.

You will grind, set and operate Studer S40 and Danobat HG72-3000 cells, develop methodologies for complex tight-tolerance parts in defence industries, and contribute to continuous improvement and safe manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

• Must have right to live and work in the UK (Essential).
• Minimum 3 years in a high precision manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 3 years experience across grinding/manufacturing processes.
• Experience working with varying materials and engineering drawings/Job Cards.
• Danobat experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Grinding, internal/external, setting and operating all machines in the cell (Studer S40, 1.6m between centres, Danobat HG72-3000, 3m between centres).
• Develop grinding methodologies for highly complex, tight tolerance parts in defence industries.
• Collaborate with Production Manager to ensure cost-effective, quality products per production requirements.
• Monitor processes to maintain total process control.
• Train new/existing staff on technology and methods, e.g., CMM equipment.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards and document manufacturing processes.
