Job summary

DVSA seeks a Lead Solutions Architect to drive cloud-based digital services, shaping as-is, transition and to-be architectures across DVSA. You will translate business problems into robust solution designs, align with enterprise principles, and oversee delivery to reduce TCO and improve customer and colleague services.

The role emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders, governance, and cost-effective architectures, with flexible working options and a generous pension.

Qualifications

• Active expertise in a digital/IT architecture role, translating business needs into solution design artifacts.
• Experience ensuring designs align with Enterprise Architecture principles and governance.
• Hands-on transformation experience using AWS and/or Azure cloud ecosystems; integration of cloud services.
• Familiar with frameworks like TOGAF or Zachman and modelling notations such as Archimate, UML, BPMN.

Responsibilities

• Lead within DVSA's Enterprise Architecture practice to reduce technical debt and TCO while improving services.
• Architect cloud-based digital services and provide technical and advisory support for business objectives.
• Create and maintain as-is, transition and to-be Solution Architectures that deliver value for money.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate problems into solution architectures and ensure governance.
