Job summary

DVSA is seeking a Lead Solutions Architect for an apprenticeship across UK locations including Newcastle. You will join the Enterprise Architecture practice to drive cloud-based digital services, reduce debt, and lower TCO while advising on strategic directions.

The role focuses on architecting scalable cloud solutions, providing technical guidance, and ensuring alignment with business goals and cost efficiency. This permanent role offers a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Experience in digital/IT architecture with stakeholder collaboration.
• Proven track record aligning solutions with EA principles.
• Hands-on with AWS and Azure cloud ecosystems.
• Familiar with TOGAF or Zachman; ITIL and modelling notations.

Responsibilities

• Work within DVSA's Enterprise Architecture practice to reduce debt and TCO.
• Architect cloud-based digital services and provide technical support and oversight.
• Create and maintain as-is, transition and to-be architectures.
• Translate business problems into solution architectures with stakeholder alignment.
• Support governance frameworks to deliver value and money.
