Job summary

Elsevier’s Security Engineering team in Oxford is seeking a Security Engineer III to design, build, and operate security tooling across large-scale cloud platforms.

You will partner with engineering teams to deploy secure AWS infrastructure with Terraform, implement CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions, and monitor systems using CloudWatch and New Relic. Strong DevOps and scripting skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with security tools and cloud computing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps.
• Ability to analyze and monitor security systems.
• Experience with AWS and other cloud providers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within the security engineering team to design and implement security tooling.
• Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
• Create CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions for automated deployments.
• Implement monitoring and alerting with CloudWatch/NewRelic.
• Support resilience including disaster recovery and runbooks.
