Job summary

Elsevier is seeking a security-focused software engineer to deliver secure, scalable software and cloud infrastructure in AWS. You will design, build, deploy, and support production-ready solutions with monitoring, alerting, and CI/CD practices, while mentoring colleagues and shaping engineering standards.

You will work in a cross-functional Agile team to ensure releases are predictable, secure, and compliant with NFRs, focusing on reputation management and security across services.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS and building secure cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on CI/CD implementation using GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with WAF technologies and Cloudflare features.
• Proficient with Git, SQL and Terraform in production environments.
• Solid Linux experience and RESTful service design knowledge.
• Scripting and testing practices in CI/CD and Agile DevOps environments.
