Job summary

Elsevier’s Security Engineering team in Information Security & Data Protection seeks cybersecurity-focused candidates. You will design, implement, and maintain security tooling across our cloud infrastructure, collaborating with Incident Response, Threat Engineering, and GRC to ensure secure adoption.

You’ll work hands-on with AWS, Terraform, and GitHub Actions, building reliable deployments, monitoring, and incident response readiness while partnering with software teams to harden security

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IT security tools and cloud computing.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with AI tools to enhance security outcomes.
• Ability to monitor security systems using available tooling.
• Experience with cloud environments and infrastructure as code.

Responsibilities

• Design security tooling with the security engineering team.
• Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform IaC.
• Create and support CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions.
• Collaborate with engineering on architecture, reliability, and improvement.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for visibility.
