Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to design, build and operate security controls across a cloud-native platform used by millions of customers. The role emphasizes automating security in code, vulnerability scanning, and incident readiness.

You will partner with 1st/2nd line InfoSec and engineering teams to translate security policy into practical tooling and guardrails, enabling rapid, secure delivery at scale.

Qualifications

• Experience deploying cloud-native applications or tooling.
• Proficiency in at least one language: C#, Python, Java, PowerShell or Bash.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and Compliance as Code practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy security controls and guardrails across cloud-native platforms.
• Run security scans, vulnerability assessments and intrusion detection to close gaps.
• Automate security processes as code within CI/CD pipelines shipping rapidly.
• Conduct risk audits and translate findings into actionable engineering recommendations.
• Monitor system access logs, flag anomalies and support incident response.
• Plan and test disaster recovery and backup processes for platform resilience.
