Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to design, build and operate security controls across cloud-native platforms, including AI guardrails. You’ll work in a hands-on role within the Security Engineering team, delivering security as code and aligning with engineering practices to ship secure software multiple times daily.

The role requires practical cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), AI security deployment skills, and strong scripting capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience writing and deploying applications or tooling into cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Experience deploying AI security solutions and guardrails for AI systems used by customers.
• Proficiency in at least one language among C#, Python, Java, PowerShell or Bash with automation experience.
• Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and Compliance as Code practices.
• Comfort operating in Agile, DevOps-driven teams with continuous delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management, translating security risk and decisions for product and engineering.
• Collaborative, evangelist mindset to promote secure defaults.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and run security solutions for 1st and 2nd line InfoSec teams and engineering communities.
• Implement vulnerability scanning, access monitoring and intrusion detection to close gaps.
• Automate security processes as code within CI/CD pipelines shipping frequently.
• Conduct risk audits and translate findings into practical guidance for engineers.
• Monitor system access logs and support incident response.
• Plan backup and disaster recovery processes to keep platforms resilient.
• Collaborate with InfoSec and product teams to communicate security concepts clearly.
