Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to design, build and run security solutions across cloud-native platforms at scale. You’ll work with the InfoSec teams and engineers to embed guardrails, AI security, and secure-by-default practices in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll implement vulnerability management, access monitoring, incident response, and disaster recovery planning, while collaborating with developers to ship secure code rapidly and reliably.

Qualifications

• Experience writing and deploying applications or tooling into cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Proven ability to deploy AI security solutions, guardrails and defences for AI systems used by customers.
• Proficiency in at least one of C#, Python, Java, PowerShell or Bash with a track record of automating security processes.
• Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and Compliance as Code practices.
• Comfort operating in Agile, DevOps-driven teams with frequent, continuous delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management translating security risk and decisions into language product/engineering teams act on.
• Collaborative evangelist mindset to promote secure defaults.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy security controls across cloud-native platforms, including AI security solutions.
• Run password audits, vulnerability scans and intrusion detection to close gaps.
• Automate security processes as code and embed IaC/CI/CD checks.
• Conduct risk audits and translate findings for engineering teams.
• Monitor and analyse system access logs, flag anomalies and support incident response.
• Plan and test security backup and disaster recovery processes for resilience.
• Collaborate with 1st/2nd line InfoSec teams and translate technical work for product audiences.
