Job summary

SimplyBiz PLC is recruiting a Cloud Platform Engineer in London to design, build and operate a modern multi-cloud platform underpinning engineering, data and product teams. You will create self-service platforms, guardrails and AI-ready infrastructure to support both human engineers and autonomous agents.

You will drive infrastructure-as-code, GitOps, CI/CD and security by design, partnering with data teams to optimise pipelines and analytics environments across a hybrid-cloud ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience designing, building and operating production cloud infrastructure.
• Multi-cloud experience across two providers with professional-level certs.
• Strong background in hybrid-cloud architecture.
• IaC and automation skills (Terraform/Ansible), GitOps, CI/CD.
• Experience building internal developer platforms and self-service paths.
• Experience with AI agents to automate infrastructure.
• Zero-trust security across identity, network, data.
• Scripting in Python/Go and observability practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate our multi-cloud platform across AWS/Azure/Google.
• Create internal developer platform and self-service golden paths.
• Deliver everything as code: IaC, GitOps, CI/CD and policy-as-code.
• Leverage AI agents to automate platform work.
• Prepare infrastructure for AI agents with guardrails.
• Embed a zero-trust security model across identities and data.
• Apply SRE practices: SLOs/SLIs, observability, resilience.
• Mentor engineers and set technical direction.
