Job summary

IG Group is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join a small data platform team in London. You’ll design scalable cloud infrastructure, build CI/CD pipelines, and operate GCP data services in collaboration with data and ML teams.

You will also help secure the platform, maintain on-call readiness, and contribute to the IDP catalog and docs. A strong background in cloud engineering and AI tooling is valued.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in cloud infrastructure engineering with hands-on GCP/AWS.
• Hands-on experience designing scalable platforms and IaC with Terraform.
• Strong understanding of IAM, security and least-privilege principles.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable cloud infrastructure using IaC.
• Build, optimise, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infra deployment.
• Operate GCP data platform services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub.
• Support IAM and security posture with least-privilege controls.
• Lead incident response and root cause analysis to reduce recurrence.
• Participate in on-call rotation as coverage matures.
• Contribute to IDP development, catalog entries, and tech docs.
