Job summary

Capital on Tap is seeking a Senior Engineer for Developer Enablement to shape the developer platform and drive adoption of golden paths. You will work closely with product engineering teams in London, defining standards for Kubernetes, CI/CD and self-service tooling, while mentoring engineers and delivering fast, safe deployments.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in platform engineering, DevOps or developer tooling.
• Design and rollout of golden paths, paved roads or self-service platforms.
• Get teams to adopt new tooling and processes.
• Deep experience with CI/CD at scale.
• Strong Kubernetes and Docker experience with standardisation.
• Experience with GitOps and progressive delivery.
• Proficiency in Go, C#, Python or PowerShell.
• Understanding of how application teams build software, ideally .NET.
• Strong product mindset and evidence-based decisions.
• Able to work in-office with product teams and mentor peers.

Responsibilities

• Spend time in the office with product engineering teams to understand how they build, test and ship.
• Create a clear developer experience roadmap and set priorities with engineering leads.
• Own the design of application golden paths and drive adoption.
• Shape the Internal Developer Platform for self-service production deployments.
• Drive progressive delivery with Flux, improving safety and speed of releases.
• Set standards for Kubernetes usage, RBAC, and developer tooling.
• Define configurations, secrets handling, and automated validation.
• Lead service autodiscovery and health checks across the estate with SRE.
• Mentor engineers, review designs and code, raise the team’s bar.
• Document clearly and work with product teams to remove friction.
