Job summary

Capital on Tap is seeking a Senior Engineer for Developer Enablement in London. You will shape the developer platform, own golden paths, and drive adoption across services. You’ll work closely with product teams in the office two days a week, delivering fast, safe, self-service tooling and end-to-end automation.

You will mentor engineers, design standards for Kubernetes, CI/CD and platform tooling, and contribute to a culture focused on speed, quality and measurable developer experience metrics.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in platform engineering, DevOps or developer tooling.

Responsibilities

• Spend time in the office with product engineering teams, building relationships with developers and leads.
• Turn what you see on the ground into a developer experience roadmap and set priorities with engineering leads.
• Own the design of our application golden paths and drive adoption across services.
• Shape our Internal Developer Platform (IDP) to enable self-service production through standards.
• Drive progressive delivery with Flux for safer, faster releases.
• Set standards for Kubernetes usage, RBAC and tooling like Headlamp and Mirrord.
• Define configuration standards and build automated validation to ease compliance.
• Lead service autodiscovery, dependency mapping and health checks with SRE.
• Mentor engineers, review designs, and foster a customer-centric culture.
• Write clear documentation and remove friction for product engineers.
• Pilot ideas quickly and scale what works to stay ahead.
