Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer in the UK to design and operate a cloud-native platform for IDAM 2.0. You will build and maintain Kubernetes clusters and IaC, implement CI/CD pipelines, and manage security, networking and observability across environments.

You will collaborate with IAM, security and architecture teams to deliver scalable platform services and drive automation and best practices across the stack.

Qualifications

• Essential Skills include cloud platform engineering (GCP), Kubernetes administration, and Terraform or equivalent.
• Strong CI/CD pipelines and GitOps experience are required.
• Linux administration, networking and service mesh knowledge are expected.
• Observability, scripting and automation capabilities are important for success.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain cloud-native platform services for IDAM 2.0.
• Design, deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters and supporting platform components.
• Develop IaC for repeatable, automated deployments.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps deployment workflows.
• Manage cloud networking, connectivity and platform security.
• Implement platform observability including logging, monitoring, metrics and distributed tracing.
• Automate platform provisioning, configuration management and operational tasks.
• Support deployment and operation of identity platform components and supporting services.
• Configure service mesh technologies and secure service-to-service communication.
• Ensure platform compliance with enterprise security, governance and regulatory requirements.
