Job summary

Catapult is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join its London team, leading cloud platform engineering that combines video assets, wearables data, and athlete information. You’ll own infrastructure, drive automation with Terraform/Ansible, and implement observability and security-first practices across hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, Platform or Infrastructure Engineering with technical leadership.
• Deep expertise in the AWS cloud platform and associated security and compliance practices.
• Strong background in infrastructure automation (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and observability tooling.
• Proven experience with big platform redesign and architecture of new cloud infrastructures.
• Solid understanding of AppSec principles and integrating security into pipelines.
• Experience managing hybrid environments (data centers and on-prem).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; ability to influence across teams.
• Experience with regulated industries (healthcare, fintech).
• Familiarity with multiple compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using IaC (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Design, build and maintain logging, monitoring, alerting, and SLO/SLI frameworks.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for fast, safe software delivery.
• Oversee availability, scalability, and performance of cloud and on-prem infrastructure with strict security alignment.
• Define and execute the architectural roadmap for Catapult’s global cloud platform.
• Champion a Shift-Left security strategy embedded into CI/CD pipelines.
