Job summary

Appvia is seeking a Senior Cloud Network Engineer with active UK Security Clearance to join our secure public sector engagement. You will own and evolve network infrastructure across cloud and on‑prem environments, combining design, implementation, and live service operation.

You will bring strong AWS networking expertise alongside traditional enterprise networking, with a focus on routing, switching, security, VPNs, and automation.

Qualifications

• Experienced Network Engineer with cloud networking across complex environments.
• Strong routing and switching including BGP/OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, and VRFs.
• Cisco networking experience, ideally including ACI/Nexus, plus cloud networking design.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, support, and improve secure network infrastructure across cloud and on‑premises environments.
• Own complex network incidents, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Lead planned network changes, upgrades, migrations, and optimisation activities.
• Design and support routing, switching, firewalling, VPN, and load-balancing solutions.
• Support resilient connectivity across hybrid cloud and data-centre environments.
• Use automation and infrastructure-as-code to improve repeatability and operational efficiency.
