Job summary

Salt in London, Ipswich, or Cheltenham is seeking Senior/Specialist Cloud Engineers to design, build and deploy secure AWS infrastructure on-site. You will work within an agile delivery team to deliver high-availability cloud solutions and zero-trust architecture.

You will automate processes with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation) and mentor junior engineers while leading design and hands-on build of secure cloud systems. A Developed Vetting clearance is required and UK residency for 10+ years.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS core services and cloud architectures.
• Proven ability to design, build and deploy secure, high-availability cloud solutions.
• Experience with IaC tooling (Terraform or CloudFormation) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and hands-on build of secure AWS cloud architectures.
• Automate infrastructure and processes using IaC.
• Provide 3rd line support for deployed cloud systems and collaborate with support teams.
• Line-manage and mentor junior engineers.
