Job summary

Matchtech seeks an experienced Cloud Engineer for a permanent role in the Defence sector, based at either the Malvern or Farnborough site. You will build secure, scalable cloud capabilities and drive IaC, CI/CD, and security practices in complex environments.

Candidates should have AWS design/deployment experience, IaC tooling (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM), and strong networking knowledge. A minimum SC clearance is required for this position.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, deploying and managing AWS-based solutions.
• Proficient with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM).
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tooling.
• Familiarity with networking concepts (DNS, VPN, load balancers, firewalls).
• Solid understanding of AWS services and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and configure cloud services to meet business requirements.
• Monitor environments for performance, cost, and security compliance.
• Develop IaC and automate deployment pipelines.
• Enforce cloud security, IAM, encryption and network controls.
• Collaborate with development, operations and security teams.
