Job summary

Appvia is seeking a Principal Cloud Networking Architect to lead secure, scalable networking for enterprise and public sector engagements. The role covers AWS networking, hybrid connectivity, landing zones, and governance, and acts as the technical authority for design and delivery.

You will own technical direction, translate complex requirements into robust network solutions, collaborate with engineering, security, and customer teams, and contribute to architecture standards across programmes.

Qualifications

• Senior cloud and network architect with depth across enterprise networking and cloud environments.
• Experience owning cloud and network architecture for complex environments.
• Strong AWS networking knowledge and security design expertise.

Responsibilities

• Own cloud and network architecture across complex customer environments.
• Define technical direction for secure, scalable, and resilient networking solutions.
• Design AWS network architectures across multiple accounts, workloads, and environments.
• Shape hybrid connectivity between cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
• Define networking patterns for cloud landing zones and platform environments.
• Provide architectural leadership across routing, connectivity, segmentation, security, and resilience.
• Produce and review high-level and detailed technical designs.
• Provide technical assurance and governance across network and cloud changes.
• Assess architectural decisions against security, operational, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Work with network engineers, platform engineers, security teams, service management, and customer architects.
• Act as trusted advisor to senior customer stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers while raising architecture and engineering standards.
