Job summary

Areti Group | B Corp™ is recruiting two Senior Software Engineers to join a major UK public sector programme, delivering cloud-native, event-driven services and secure APIs in a rapidly evolving environment.

You will collaborate with Technical Architects, Data Engineers and Product teams to translate complex requirements into scalable solutions, working from Leeds, Sheffield or London with hybrid travel flexibility and active SC clearance driving delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience building cloud-native services and REST APIs.
• Proven track record with event-driven architectures (Kafka or AWS SNS/SQS).
• Strong in Java, Kotlin or Go and RESTful APIs (Spring Boot or similar).
• UK Government/public sector experience and active SC clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and build secure, scalable cloud-native services and REST APIs.
• Develop event-driven architectures using asynchronous messaging.
• Design and implement microservices in AWS.
• Integrate systems via APIs and event-based patterns.
• Apply DDD and modern software design patterns.
• Develop secure services with OAuth2/JWT and related standards.
• Ensure observability, resilience and operational support.
• Build reusable components and engineering patterns.
