Central London

An exciting scale-up in Central London is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join its growing cloud engineering team during a crucial period of business expansion. The role involves working with AWS, Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Python, and more. The company has 100 employees and has experienced significant growth in the last 18 months.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based solutions across AWS and Azure, focusing on scalability, security, and agility.
2. Collaborate with developers, test engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to implement best practices and meet project milestones.
3. Develop and maintain cloud security policies to ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
4. Implement Kubernetes (AKS/EKS) for container orchestration and application management.
5. Provision and automate infrastructure using Terraform and ARM templates.
6. Monitor and optimize cloud environments for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.

Skills Required:

1. 5+ years of experience as a DevOps/Cloud Engineer with expertise in AWS and Azure.
2. Strong knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, and Azure services including Virtual Machines, Functions, and Storage.
3. Experience with containerization, Docker, and container management.
4. Proficiency in scripting and automation with Python and PowerShell (optional for Azure).
5. Experience building CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.
6. Familiarity with Terraform and ARM templates for infrastructure automation.
7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working across cross-functional teams.
