Senior Cloud Engineer - AWS, Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Python

Location: Central London

Salary: £85,000 - £90,000 + 10% bonus

An exciting scale-up in Central London is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join a growing cloud engineering team during a crucial phase of business expansion. You will work with AWS, Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Python, and more. The company has 100 employees and has experienced significant growth over the last 18 months.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based solutions across AWS and Azure, focusing on scalability, security, and agility.
2. Collaborate with developers, cloud engineers, test engineers, and project managers to implement best practices and meet project milestones.
3. Develop and enforce cloud security policies on AWS and Azure to protect data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
4. Implement Kubernetes (AKS/EKS) for container orchestration and application management.
5. Provision and automate infrastructure using Terraform and Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
6. Monitor and optimize cloud environments for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.

Skills Required:

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps/Cloud Engineer with expertise in AWS and Azure.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC) and Azure services (Virtual Machines, Functions, Storage).
• Experience with containerization, Docker, and container management.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python and PowerShell.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitLab, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with Terraform and ARM templates for infrastructure automation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
